The Department of State (DoS) / Bureau of Consular Affairs / Office of Consular Systems and Technologies (CA/CST) awarded ValidaTek with the IT Operational Support and Services contract to continue supporting the mission of CA that we have been supporting for nearly ten years. This is a testament to the amazing work of our management, engineering, subject matter experts and operations teams. This contract provides mission-critical 24x7x365 IT services to facilitate the DoS mission to protect the lives and interests of U.S. citizens abroad and strengthen the security of the US borders. The nature of the contract includes providing engineering and operations support for globally distributed Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) and SECRET networks and systems. Our teams are distributed at multiple secure locations nationally and we are responsible for the O&M of enterprise services and systems that support 9,000 end-users nationwide and approximately 10,000 users overseas. This includes Windows operating systems, Exchange mail services, Blackberry services, DNS, DHCP, SCCM patching, backup and restore, and Enterprise monitoring and alerting. We also provide hosting, monitoring, alerting and support for over 100 SBU and public facing applications and websites. Our scope includes deployment and O&M of physical/virtual infrastructure configuration items at DoS data centers and Passport sites to include storage devices, servers, load balancers and VMware virtual infrastructure. We also established and maintain multiple network connections for data transfers between DoS and other Agencies, and also administer infrastructure on the SBU and SECRET networks.
